Here are some quick tips on how to use the most easy and afforable wax melter in the world! We will never charge you $$ for saftey tips, or anything to make you more knowledgible as a candlemaker or anything you'd need to know about your new wax melter!
What I do to get wax melted quickly, is turn the temp control to 200-250 degrees and then add chunks of wax. Do not leave the temp at 250 degrees for the duration of your candle making. Depending on the wax you use, it may start to smell hot and smoke. Keep a thermometer in your wax at all times. Keep an eye on your thermometer, once you get a good melt going you can turn it down.
It is wise to know your wax flash points. If you do not know, ask your supplier.
I never mix scent or color in the Magic Wax Melter. I still use my pour pots for mixing. However, that will be your own personal preference. I find it easier to use pour pots.
When you are ready to pour in your pour pots be careful the spigot will be very warm to the touch. I find that I can still touch the spigot with bare hands while pouring. It all depends on your tolerance to heat.
Do not use an extension cord. It's a hazard!
The spigot should not have to be cleaned nor will it plug up. I have not had that happen. As you will experience, the spigot stays very warm so the wax will not have a chance to clog the valve.
There will be some residual dripping from the spigot whenever there is wax coming through the warm spigot. This is not a defect, nor a leaky spigot; it’s just residual wax.
When you are ready to shut down production, turn off the temperature control and unplug. Allow pot to cool and put lid on pot to keep out dust, dirt and other debris.
Never leave your hot wax unattended. Keep out of reach of children and pets at all times.
To clean a Magic Wax melter, keep pot warm and wipe out with paper towels or a baby wipe. Do not pour residual wax in down your drains, they’ll clog.
